Terms of Service

Welcome to Mate King ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mate King mobile application (the "App") and any related services, content, or features provided through the App (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By accessing, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Acceptance

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Limited License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, and limited license to download, install, and use the App on a mobile device that you own or control for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

Restrictions: You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Distribute, lease, lend, or sell the App or access to the Service.
  • Use the Service for any commercial or unauthorized purpose.
  • Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

3. User Accounts & Security

3.1 Account Types

  • Guest Accounts: You may use the Service as a guest. Data for guest accounts is stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for the loss of any progress, virtual currency, or data associated with a guest account if the App is deleted or your device is lost or modified.
  • Social Accounts: You may link your account to a third-party service (e.g., Google or Apple). This allows your data to be synced with our servers and accessed across multiple devices.

3.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Virtual Currency & Virtual Goods

The Service may include "Virtual Currency" (e.g., Coins) or "Virtual Goods" (e.g., Avatars, special themes).

  • License only: Virtual Currency and Virtual Goods are licensed to you, not sold. You have no ownership or property interest in them.
  • No Cash Value: Virtual Currency and Virtual Goods have no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other value from us or any other party.
  • Management: We reserve the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate Virtual Currency and Virtual Goods at our sole discretion, without liability to you.

5. Payments, Billing & Refunds

5.1 Transactions

Purchases of Virtual Currency or other digital content are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store ("App Provider"). You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes incurred by you or anyone using an account registered to you.

5.2 No Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the App Provider. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partially used periods of Service.

6. Code of Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Cheating & Exploitation: Using cheats, exploits, automation software (bots), hacks, mods, or any unauthorized third-party software designed to modify or interfere with the Service or the multiplayer experience.
  • Harassment: Engaging in any behavior that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable to other users.
  • Infrastructure Interference: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our servers, networks, or user accounts, or performing any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Data Scraping: Using any automated system, including "robots," "spiders," or "offline readers," to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers than a human can reasonably produce.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including without limitation any games, titles, computer code, themes, objects, characters, character names, stories, dialogue, artwork, animations, sounds, musical compositions, audio-visual effects, and methods of operation) are owned by us or our licensors. Our names and logos are trademarks, and may not be used without our prior written permission.

8. User Content & Social Features

The Service may allow you to create or share content, such as a display name or avatar ("User Content"). You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such User Content in connection with the Service. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you provide.

9. Disclaimers, Indemnification & Limitation of Liability

9.1 Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

10.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10.2 Mandatory Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be settled by binding arbitration. You and Mate King agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of such changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
